Malerie is one of our lead color educators at Deeda. She started her career assisting at a Sassoon-based salon and has never forgotten her roots in the geometric styles of Vidal Sassoon. Well-versed in the language of Bumble and bumble as well, having attended cutting and color classes at the Bb. University in New York , Malerie is always eager to learn more and pass that knowledge on to the newcomers at the salon. Her passion for hair and the creative process is obvious to anyone who meets her as she is often in the salon from opening until closing working with clients. She has attended classes at the Wella Studio in LA multiple times and continues to be inspired by colors found in nature and the changing of the seasons. She loves natural tones and the hair of the early 70s for the pureness of the style. Center parts, texture and high-waisted everything cause a creative stir in Malerie.
Malerie’s specialty is enhancing and embracing the beauty that’s already there. She has all types of clients and always pushes herself to strengthen her skills to give clients what they are looking for. When it comes to color she loves creating depth using subtle tonal changes, which gives the hair life.
Outside of Deeda, Malerie enjoys playing cowgirl, riding horses at her family’s ranch in Paradise, riding her bike around midtown and supporting local restaurants. A self-proclaimed social butterfly, feel free to say hello if you see her out and about!
